Kawhi Leonard hit the first Game 7 buzzer beater winner in the history of the NBA to hoist the Toronto Raptors into the Eastern Conference Finals. The shot, which couldn’t have been scripted better in a Hollywood movie, was released high in the air over the outstretched arms of 7”3’ Joel Embiid, then proceeded to bounce on the rim four times before finally falling through the nylon, sending the Toronto faithful into a sense of euphoria.
After having traded for Kawhi in the off-season for no more than one guaranteed year, this shot all but justifies the Raptors risk. Good luck to the Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals!
